What you will enjoy doing

The Procurement & Business Development Manager Recycling division supports and implements sourcing and recycling projects at ALPLA. By doing organizational, advisory and supporting tasks regarding the corporate waste and recycling management, the Procurement & Business Development Manager Recycling division provides services to the ALPLA Recycling division with the objective of enhancing recycling purposes and strengthening the commercial and sustainable capability of ALPLA.

Develop and expand global sourcing strategies for PET and HDPE bales and flakes Identify, evaluate and onboard new partners in plastic waste collection, sorting and recycling Screen international markets for recyclers, collectors, licensors and technology partners Drive and coordinate closed‑loop initiatives across the ALPLA recycling network Support the development of new rPET and rHDPE raw material sources in close collaboration with product development and operations Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to generate and implement innovative recycling concepts Represent ALPLA Recycling at industry events, meetings and conferences Support supplier qualification and supplier audits within the recycling value chain Build and maintain a knowledge base on waste management, recycling technologies, and sustainability trends

Open-minded, team working and communicating person with special interest in environmental affairs Technical college or university degree or working experience Knowledge regarding environmental, governmental/ societal, technical and economic relations Deep understanding and experience in the field of waste management with preferred specialization or interest in plastic recycling and plastic materials High personal motivation and eagerness to push recycling activities at ALPLA Flexibility and travelling applicable for this job English required, additional languages beneficial
