GENERAL REQUIREMENT
Open to individuals from countries that have diplomatic relations with Malaysia except Israel, Nigeria and Bangladesh. Applicant must be 30 years old or above.

MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY
PRINCIPAL AND DEPENDENT
Yearly minimum stay in Sabah is 30 days which is cumulative

PROOF OF OFFSHORE INCOME
Single applicant is RM10,000 per month
Applicant with dependents is RM15,000 per month

CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT
Applicant must obtain confirmation from the authority in the country of origin which is the police report

SECURITY BOND
Applicant is required to pay a security bond to the Immigration Department

CHANGE OF PRINCIPAL
In the event of death of the principal, the Sabah MM2H Pass of the deceased is transferable to the spouse until the end of ten years term

ADDITIONAL NOTES

3 Participant is allowed to bring dependents as follows
a Spouse which is the wife or husband
b Children under 21 years of age or still a full time student without any form of employment
c Parents or parents in law

4 MINIMUM STAY DURATION
A minimum 30 days stay per year in Sabah

5 Sabah MM2H Visa holders can withdraw up to 40 percent of the MM2H Fixed Deposit after 2 years for the purpose of
a Buying a property in Sabah
b Education
c Medical treatment in Malaysia.

6 After receiving the CONDITIONAL APPROVAL, applicants will be given 6 months duration to complete all the criteria as follows
a Open the Sabah MM2H Fixed Deposit account
b Medical check up
c Obtain the Medical Insurance Cover
d Buy a property in Sabah
e Open a bank account

7 Applicant is required to pay a security bond to the Immigration Department.

8 Visa Fee of RM 500 per year will be charged by the Immigration Department.

9 P.U.A 56 which came into force on 16 March 2022 . Main applicant and dependents are required to pay for the Multiple Entry Visa at the rate according to their country of origin.

10 All applicants must purchase and own a residence in Sabah after obtaining the approval as SABAH MM2H participant with minimum purchase price of RM 600,000 for Silver category, RM 1 million for Gold category and RM 2 million for Platinum category.

a High rise residence means 3 storey and above units. Unit purchased within the past 3 years can be accepted
b Landed residential is permitted as per Garis Panduan Perolehan Hartanah oleh Kepentingan warga asing di Negeri Sabah Tahun 2022 Para 5f.
c Property must be purchased from developer. New property must be at least 50 percent completed.
d Loan is permissible.

11 Selling of property is not allowed for 10 years. However, the house can be sold after 5 years with a new purchase price of a value equivalent to RM 600,000.

12 Sabah MM2H can only reside in SABAH. Travelling to Peninsular states will need approval from Immigration. Such application will be facilitated by the Immigration Department in a simple application and quick approval, same day approval.

13 Applicants can bring maids based on current practice

14 Applicant must submit application through an agent that has been licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment.

15 Existing MM2H Holders
a MM2H pass will indicate SABAH only. All existing holders of MM2H in Sabah to only reside in SABAH
b Sabah MM2H can only reside in Sabah.
c Renewal will be approved based on previous criteria
