What you will be working on: You establish and lead an interdisciplinary research group at ECH You develop and implement a competitive research agenda aligned with the ECH vision and USTP strategyYou recruit and supervise a research team, including up to five PhD candidates You develop demonstrators and real-world pilot applications within AI and sustainability living-lab environments You acquire third-party funding following the base-funded build-up phase You integrate research results into innovative teaching formats and interdisciplinary study programsWhat we expect from you: Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, environmental informatics, data science, software engineering or related disciplines) Strong international research profile and publication record Demonstrated ability to develop an original research vision and translate it into a strategic agendaExperience in interdisciplinary and applied research environments Proven success in acquiring or contributing to competitive research projects Leadership potential and interest in building a new research group from the ground up Commitment to European collaboration and innovative higher-education formatsExcellent proficiency in English (spoken and written) What we offer: You can find further information about the role and the required application documents
