To strengthen our product team, we are looking for a Product Developer (m/f/d) to help us implement the next innovative products in the field of children's mobility and toys.
Your role
Implementation of new products from idea to series production in the field of children's mobility / toys
Analysis of market, design and consumer trends, as well as the derivation of concrete product concepts, material and manufacturing techniques.
Close collaboration with design, engineering and marketing (e.g., prototyping, color design, surfaces, collection planning)
Responsible for supplier briefing, tool planning, timing and coordination of sample and prototype development including review and optimization up to series production.
Documentation and assurance of product safety (e.g. toy regulations, mechanical and chemical safety) in cooperation with external testing institutes and the internal compliance team.
Cost and quality optimization in coordination with suppliers and purchasing.
Continuous development of existing products (line extensions, updates, color concepts)
Your profile
Completed studies or training in the field of industrial/product design, mechanical engineering, toy design, industrial engineering or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in the field of consumer goods, toys, children's vehicles or baby/kids' products is desirable.
Proficient use of 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, etc.) is an advantage.
Understanding of technical drawings
Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing technology is an advantage.
High sensitivity to design, ergonomics and safety when handling children's products
Structured, independent work style with a strong hands-on mentality
Strong communicator and team-oriented– also in exchanges with international partners
Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly to trade fairs, suppliers and production sites.
