Job Introduction As a Service Engineer, you will coordinate the technical specification, integration, and acceptance of technical voice communication solutions for air traffic control. You are the main point of contact for all technical matters for your long standing installed based customers. Additionally you are responsible for coordinating with the respective development teams, which are distributed internationally. Key Tasks Main point of contact for your customers at the 2nd and 3rd level support level and analyze and fix system errors. Thanks to your proximity to customers, you understand their needs and operational requirements and contribute to ongoing product improvement. Participation in international projects in collaboration with branches and partner companies. Coordinating and carrying out error analysis and remedies. Review of technical solutions with regard to security requirements, evaluation of necessary measures.Performing system tests on the company test environment and on customer premises.Planning and implementing system updates and enhancements for complex IT systems. Integrating systems and system components into existing customer environments. Conducting customer training both on site and at headquarters rounds off your area of responsibility. Key Qualifications You have completed a course of study specialising in computer science or network technology.At least five years’ professional experience in service or systems engineering.You possess technical skills, analytical thinking and the ability to work well in a team, and you keep a cool head even in critical situations. You have a strong interest in customised solutions, virtualisation and network technology, and you are up to date in these areas. Practical experience with IT-Infrastructure and knowledge of telecommunications interfaces and protocols are an advantage. Technologies relevant to your profile: Linux Red Hat, hypervisor platforms (VMware, Linux KVM), network protocols (TCP/IP, SIP, HTTP, etc.) and Wireshark, Nessus, SBC You enjoy travelling to visit customers and are willing to undertake international business trips (approx. 25%), so you speak English very well.
