Job Description

Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector in Austria. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Vienna.

Responsibilities:

Act as the primary cost management liaison with client and other project stakeholdersResponsibility for pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reportsEstimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost planTendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and compiling the contractual documentsTaking responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuationsProducing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the clientInterfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesParticipate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processesPerform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accountsMaintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimating

Qualifications

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldA proven track record of delivering high quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycleExperience of leading cost management commissions for large construction projects of high complexityTechnical knowledge of Data centre or other related facility asset typesGood knowledge of all methods of construction and procurementExperienced with, or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applicationsStrong experience with spreadsheets and databasesCollaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externallyGood organization skills with the ability to multi-taskGood command of written and spoken German and English 

Additional Information

The minimum collective agreement salary (as per Austrian Collective Agreement) for this position €63,000 gross per year. However, we would like to explicitly point out that overpayment is planned in accordance with your expertise and professional experience.
