Eastern Guruma is seeking a high-calibre

Deputy Operations Manager– Integrated Services

to step into a senior operational leadership role within one of the most active, diverse and fast-growing areas of our business.

This is a role for a leader who wants to be where the action is. Integrated Services is expanding, winning new contracts, launching new services and identifying further opportunities across the Pilbara and beyond. We are growing because we deliver quality services safely, consistently and professionally and because our teams continue to prove, time and again, that they are our greatest asset.

We are looking for someone who connects with that. Someone who believes strong leadership, safety, recognition, development and accountability are the foundations of great service delivery. Someone who can lead from the front, support people on the ground, build future leaders, solve problems under pressure and help turn opportunity into safe, practical and profitable delivery.

About the Role: As Deputy Operations Manager– Integrated Services, you will take responsibility for the operational side of the business on an 8:6 roster, working as the formal second-in-command to the Operations Manager – Integrated Services.

You will provide day-to-day operational leadership across allocated contracts, projects, work fronts and service lines. This includes maintaining service continuity, supporting mobilisation and demobilisation, resolving operational issues, mentoring leaders, maintaining client confidence and ensuring the business continues to deliver safely, efficiently and profitably.

This is not a desk-only management role. It requires visible leadership, strong planning, commercial discipline and the ability to stay calm and effective when remote-area challenges arise. You will be supported by a strong and experienced team while reporting directly to the Operations Manager– Integrated Services.

What You Will Lead: In this role, you will:

Maintain operational control across the Integrated Services portfolio.

Support safe, on-time and commercially disciplined delivery across contracts, projects and work fronts.

Convert strategic direction into practical operating plans and clear actions.

Build strong relationships with clients, internal leaders, suppliers and field teams.

Drive service quality, safety performance, labour control, productivity and accountability.

Coach, mentor and develop senior team leaders, supervisors and frontline personnel.

Strengthen systems, reporting, compliance and operational standards across the division.

Identify improvement opportunities and support sustainable business growth.

Support Indigenous engagement, participation and development outcomes through operational delivery.

About You: You will be a senior operations leader who brings energy, discipline, commercial awareness and genuine field leadership.

You will be comfortable leading under pressure when the heat is on, while also having the maturity to recognise your own limits, escalate when required and use the strength of the team around you. You will be methodical in your approach to operations, but flexible enough to keep the business moving when the unexpected occurs.

We are especially interested in leaders who can demonstrate:

Qualification in Operations Management, Project Management, or related field.

Experience in operations leadership within mining, village operations, facilities management, integrated services, project delivery or another remote service environment.

A strong and proven commitment to safety, including specific examples of where you have had a measurable or significant impact on safety performance.

The ability to lead daily operations, project execution, mobilisation, workforce deployment and service delivery across multiple work fronts.

A practical, innovative mindset, someone who can think outside the square and turn ideas into workable on-the-ground outcomes.

Strong people leadership, including coaching, mentoring and developing senior team leaders, supervisors and frontline employees.

Commercial capability across labour management, cost control, productivity, margin protection and service performance.

Confidence developing client relationships, supporting contract performance and converting client needs into deliverable operational solutions.

Clear communication, strong organisation and sound decision-making in fast-paced environments.

Working knowledge of HR/IR, Fair Work, OH&S, quality, risk and operational compliance requirements.

A current driver’s licence and capacity to travel across operational locations.

Willingness and ability to obtain a Section 26 (Statutory Position)

Safety is central to how Integrated Services operates.

Applicants must be able to provide real examples of where they have personally influenced safety performance, improved critical controls, strengthened team behaviours, reduced risk or led meaningful safety improvement in previous operational roles.

We are not looking for generic safety statements. We want to understand what you did, how you led it and what changed because of your leadership.

Why Join Eastern Guruma? This is a crucial leadership role in a division that is continuing to expand, win work and build new services.

You will have the opportunity to:

Step into a senior leadership role with real operational influence.

Work with a strong, experienced and supportive leadership team.

Develop leaders and strengthen capability across the business.

Contribute to one of Australia’s largest Indigenous-owned companies.

Be part of a business with excellent future prospects and national expansion plans.

For the right person, this is more than a Deputy Operations Manager role. It is an opportunity to help lead a growing division, shape the way services are delivered and be part of a business that is building something significant.

How to Apply? If you are a senior operations leader who can deliver safely, lead strongly, think commercially and develop people, we want to hear from you.

Please submit your resume outlining:

Your senior operational leadership experience.

Your experience working in remote, mining, facilities management or integrated services environments.

Specific examples of where you have had a significant impact on safety performance.
