The Role As
Transport Manager , you will lead the Service Delivery function for our Adelaide Branch. You will take financial&operational ownership of transport performance while developing people, strengthening safety culture, and driving service excellence. This role suits a leader who enjoys
owning outcomes , working in a fast-paced logistics environment, and continuously improving how things are done.
Key Responsibilities Operational&Transport Leadership
Lead and support the Service Delivery and driver teams
Manage daily transport operations including routing, operator rosters, DIFOT performance, and service reliability
Monitor route and telematics data to improve driver safety, customer service, and cost efficiency
Ensure fleet health, presentation, preventative maintenance, and asset optimisation
Safety, Compliance&Systems
Maintain 100% compliance across vehicle safety inspections and service platforms including Whip Around, ERB, Enable HR, City Fleet, and telematics systems
Lead safety initiatives in line with workplace health&safety obligations and HACCP compliance
Conduct daily driver debriefs and face‑to‑face check‑ins with delivery drivers
Take ownership of transport-related costs with a commercial mindset and P&L awareness
Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver budget targets and operational efficiencies
Analyse performance data and translate insights into actionable improvements
People Leadership&Capability Development
Provide clear performance direction, coaching, and ongoing support to the team
Develop people through structured performance management, planning, and feedback
Build a positive, inclusive branch culture where employees feel safe, engaged, and supported
What We’re Looking For
Valid Driver’s Licence
Proven leadership experience in a transport, logistics, or service delivery environment
Strong people management capability including coaching, performance management, and team development
Demonstrated financial ownership with understanding of operational P&L drivers
Experience managing DIFOT, logistics performance, operator rosters, and fleet operations
Ability to analyse operational data and drive continuous improvement
Intermediate MS Office and operational systems capability
Tertiary qualifications in business or management (preferred but not essential)
