As part of the Rapid Group, we provide wharf cartage, container unpacking, quarantine/bonded services, warehousing and distribution, and dry and refrigerated transport services to a wide range of local, national and international clients.
About the Role The Customer Service and Administration Manager will ensure the efficient establishment, implementation and ongoing management of the container transport Customer Service and Administration teams’ activities to maintain data integrity throughout bookings, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processes, and provide effective support to operations and management.
Based at our Largs Bay depot, you will be responsible for establishing redundancy through cross‑training and skills development, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs, effective delegation of tasks and developing a culture of communication and collaboration to achieve common goals.
Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to ensure team members are working cohesively and towards common goals.
Implementation and management of KPI's.
Account management of key clients, new clients and contracts.
Primary accountability for the set‑up and management of FCL customer rates.
Manage end‑to‑end and all aspects of accounts receivable including price checking and invoicing, debt collection.
Manage general ledger including account reconciliation and reporting.
Performance development and improvement.
Establish and maintain effective and consistent administrative service functions that ensure sound business practices, compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
Investigation of customer complaints, claims and credit requests.
What We’re Looking For Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years managing an administration team in a transport or logistics environment.
Previous senior administration leadership and management experience.
Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker across people management, finance, safety, customer service and day‑to‑day administrative activities.
Knowledge and experience in business improvement initiatives in cost and performance management.
High level of computer savviness and literacy in MS Office applications and the ability to work in Excel.
Demonstrated mentoring, coaching and leadership experience to an administration team possessing diverse levels of expertise.
