About The Role We are looking for a Sales and Product Manager to join our team who will be enthusiastic about leading our CE (retail/online) division. Your focus will be delivering, but not limited to, our core consumer brands such as Vogel's, Ezymount and Sangean as well as private label products. You will be responsible for key National Account relationships such as JB Hi‑Fi, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, and Anaconda.
Previous experience specifically with major retail chains such as JB Hi‑Fi, Harvey Norman, or The Good Guys is essential for managing key National Account relationships.
In this role, you will report to the General Manager and lead our small internal sales team as well as our Australia wide network of sales agents.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and nurture existing relationships with purchasing decision makers across our major partners.
Negotiate ranging to optimise shelf space and maximise market share.
Negotiate or re‑negotiate trading terms when/if required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, collaborating closely to ensure our product range is well‑suited to the Australian market and aligned with current market needs.
Conduct regular sales and product training with our field team to ensure your strategy is clear and understood.
Working closely with our Marketing Manager to drive marketing and incentive programs.
Develop and implement channel strategy, price setting, and sales plans across all categories.
Report to the Management Team on market/competitor activity.
Provide universal support to our distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders.
Direct approach to product testing and selection of new products.
Organise and lead trade shows (approx two per year).
A moderate amount of interstate travel will be required.
What You Need
Strong sales and people skills.
Connections and great reputation among manager and buyer communities in your previous roles.
Enthusiasm, exceptional communication, organisation, and presentation skills.
Experience working closely with a Marketing team.
Confidence/experience with conducting training and running industry exhibitions.
Successfully demonstrate leadership skills to lead a team and achieve outstanding sales results.
Aptitude for product understanding, testing, and selection– this is a hands‑on role.
Proficiency in MS Office apps, especially Excel and Outlook.
Experience with product development&negotiating private label contracts.
Product management experience and an understanding of product life cycles.
Sales experience in consumer electronics or related retail industry is highly regarded.
