Senior Clinical Coordinator/Reception Manager, Vienna

Senior Clinical Coordinator/Reception Manager Valley Eye Specialists is a busy paediatric and adult ophthalmology practice located in Fortitude Valley that strives to provide exceptional ophthalmic care.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Coordinator/Reception Manager to join our team who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment on a full‑time basis.

You will be joining a team of 6 ophthalmologists who specialise in general adult ophthalmology, paediatric ophthalmology and neuro‑ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily operations of the clinic.

Manage and coordinate clinic employees.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Act as the escalation point for complex issues, leading with a can‑do attitude to deliver positive outcomes.

Manage the clinic operational requirements including service delivery, resourcing, patient bookings, surgery quotes and bookings, business development and rostering.

Transition software to new system later this year once VIP is phased out.

Candidate Requirements

Proven management experience in a medical, dental or specialist environment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Ability to lead by example, with a positive, can‑do attitude, managing competing priorities while fostering a harmonious work environment.

Balance the needs of patients, ophthalmologists, and the team.

Highly developed multitasking skills, empathetic listening, and confident challenge addressing.

In-depth knowledge of Australian medical billing practices, including Medicare.

Strong organisational, time‑management, interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with Best Practice VIP, Xero, Deputy, HubDoc and PRODA is highly desirable but not essential.
